故明君贤将，所以动以胜人，成功出于众者，先知也 ——《孙子兵法》公元前五世纪 所谓先知，在现代社会里，也指从事特务活动的间谍。 巴黎奥利机场十分繁忙，前往莫斯科的302航次立即就要起飞，就在这时，苏联驻法国二等参赞弗拉索夫上校突然冲进机场警务室请求政治避难。苏联大使馆一等秘书闻讯赶来劝阻弗拉索夫；弗拉索夫太太也来劝丈夫回国，弗拉索夫断然拒绝。弗拉索夫很快被送到法国情报局，法国情报局想从弗拉索夫嘴里掏点情报，可他什么也不说，只要求赶快送他去美国大使馆。法国情报局局长贝尔东随后又接到报告，知道弗拉索夫在机场曾化了一百法郎请女售货员给美国大使馆打了电话，内容是；弗拉索夫要求在美国避难。为了争取时间，法国情报部决定用汽车把弗拉索夫送回苏联大使馆，以此来威胁他提供情况。这个方法确实有效，当汽车离苏联大使馆不远，弗拉索夫正要松口时，贝尔东突然来电话命令他们立即返回。因为美国大使馆已向法国外交部施加压力，必须马上交出弗拉索夫上校。没多久，美国驻法大使奥布赖恩亲自接回弗拉索夫，并于第二天清晨，偷偷地把他送往美国华盛顿中央情报局。 美国中央情报局局长戴维斯很重视弗拉索夫的到来。但从档案室储有的弗拉索夫的详细材料来看，对于他的叛逃很难置信。弗拉索夫被放到测谎器面前反复进行心理测验，戴维斯还亲自审讯。最后，中央情报局对弗拉索夫作了认真的分析，认为弗拉索夫叛逃来美国的真正原因是；正当弗拉索夫青云直上时，赫鲁晓夫倒台了，他也从青云里掉下来，只派到巴黎当个二等参赞，他的生活又很放荡，这次被召回国，等待他的前途将更不妙。这个分析很有说服力。这时，正在这里的英国情报部二号人物菲利普•贝尔又向戴维斯作了推荐，就这样弗拉索夫被送进了优待室。从此，弗拉索夫开始为中央情报局效劳，并向戴维斯提供了北约组织最高机构里他所知道的一大批投K苏联的官员名单。 几天后当戴维斯来到慕尼黑了解北约内部组织人员时，德国武装部队司令冯•施特赖里茨突然在他乡村别墅树林里"自杀"了。接着是政府高级官员霍斯特•弗尔森在湖里钓鱼时被人杀害。德国一下子死了十三名高级官员。西德刚开完追悼会，法国反间谍机构内部又引起了一场轩然大波。因为据弗拉索夫供称法国情报局局长贝尔东和法国国防部高级官员德瓦尔也在为苏联工作。贝尔东立即被停职，德瓦尔受到审讯。德瓦尔在受审时竟然听到了贝尔东的罪证:他和苏联人进行私下交易的录音带。 欧洲所发生的一切使戴维斯有所警觉，为了试探他自己掌握的机密是否准确，当他来到英国伦敦见到贝尔时，他对贝尔说；别认为这儿干净，你这儿也臭气熏天，外交部的莱恩和伯格......。这个消息使贝尔感到意外。没过多久，英国外交部里两名高级官员就投奔苏联去了。英国有消息传来，莱恩和伯格的逃跑和法国"贝尔东"事件有牵连。 贝尔东已遭到法国情报部的监视。这天贝尔东回到住处，他习惯地打开一本书，这本书原来是架自动录音机。录音机清晰地告诉他屋子里曾有人来过，已安装了窃听器。突然这时来了一个电话。他不敢在屋内打电话，借用邻居的电话和打电话来的人约定了接头地点。他巧妙地摆脱了法国情报部的跟踪来到会见的地点，约他见面的竟是贝尔。贝尔原来是为苏联工作三十年的老牌间谍，自从戴维斯透露了莱恩和伯格的消息后，把弗拉索夫和贝尔合谋的计划彻底打乱了，贝尔给贝尔东准备了一张去莫斯科的护照，是企图把莱恩和伯格逃跑的事件归罪于贝尔东。贝尔东看透了贝尔的花招，开车离去。贝尔用一种化学液体封闭贝尔东的车窗玻璃，企图造成贝尔东翻车死亡。贝尔东翻车受了伤，这使贝尔继续潜伏的计划失败，他慌忙地溜到苏联去了。 真相终于大白。苏联克格勃分子弗拉索夫和贝尔策划了有史以来最可怕的一次规模最大的破坏活动。德国十三名高级官员全是由贝尔暗中杀害的，法国的贝尔东和德瓦尔是无辜的。戴维斯在中央情报局揭穿了弗拉索夫的一切谎言，贝尔东和苏联私下交易的录音带是伪造的，当年贝尔和弗拉索夫在土耳其合影的照片也是在苏联境内合成拍摄的。戴维斯也遭到两条化成"蛇"的克格勃所欺骗，弗拉索夫被捕了。 半年后在东西德交界处，弗拉索夫被押来，与苏方交换俘虏。业已离任的贝尔东和戴维斯也都来到现场，贝尔东问戴维斯，弗拉索夫回国后能当上克格勃头子吗?戴维斯深知克格勃的内幕，他说:弗拉索夫这条"蛇"的前景不妙，因为他已尝过西方天堂的滋味，不会得到克格勃的信任，不久就会消失掉的。 【简 评】 这是一部由法国拉博埃蒂影片公司拍摄于1973年的反映前苏联克格勃活动的间谍影片，根据小说《第13个自杀者》改编。《蛇》希图突破旧间谍片的框框，但痕迹尚存。摄影上有独特的处理。 这是一个虚构与真实事件兼而有之的影片。作者力图突破旧间谍片局限在两国的框框，而扩大为国际性的间谍战；另方面，也竭力避免旧间谍片大多以枪战、格斗、恐怖为主要情节的俗套，而着力表现间谍与反间谍人员之间的智斗。 《蛇》汇集了欧美各国的电影演员，如尤伯•连纳、亨利•方达、德克•博加德、菲立普•努瓦雷等。其中，法国演员菲利浦•努瓦雷在另一部影片《老枪》中担任男主角。演迪比斯的是美国演员亨利•方达，他于一九二九年起开始电影生涯，至一九七八年已演拍上百部影片，表演以深沉蕴藉见长。演鲍依尔的狄克•鲍迦，一九三六年毕业于英国皇家戏剧学院舞台艺术系，一九四八年后从事电影演出。扮演贝尔顿的菲利浦•诺阿莱，是目前法国最受欢迎的演员。他于一九五六年开始从事电影工作，另一部法国片《老枪》也是由他主演的。至于演弗拉索夫的尤尔•伯连纳，原籍苏联，一九三九年加入美国籍。一九五六年，他曾以主演歌舞片《国王与我》而获得奥斯卡最佳男主角奖。

Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
